TechChris exists for one reason: small businesses deserve a real online presence without being overcharged for it.
Before I got into web design, I spent years working in financial operations across different companies. That background taught me a lot — mostly about how businesses actually run, where money gets wasted, and how often the people doing real work end up paying too much for things that shouldn't cost that much. That stuck with me.
I went back to school for a certificate in IT and user support and decided to put both worlds together. Understanding how a business operates and knowing how to build for the web turned out to be a pretty useful combination.
TechChris started as a challenge I gave myself. My friend Drew runs an electrical business and needed a website. I stepped up and built it — and what came out was a clean, professional site that holds its own against established electricians in the area. You can check it out at ampitelectrical.com.
That project made something clear: small business owners are routinely overcharged for websites. Big agencies have layers of overhead that have nothing to do with your actual site. A small business doesn't need any of that. They need good work, built right, from someone they can actually talk to.
Whether you have a clear vision or you're starting from scratch, I'll understand what your business is about and build something that brings that vision to life. No overpaying for things that shouldn't cost that much.
Based in Lowell, Massachusetts — and happy to work with businesses anywhere.
I'll tell you what your site actually needs — and what it doesn't. No upselling, no mystery fees, no surprises on the bill.
You're not getting handed off to a team of people. You deal with me start to finish — the same person who answers your questions builds your site.
Every site I build is held to a simple standard: it should look better and work better than your competitors' sites. That's the whole point.
